- Finishing the model I was building in Google Sketchup (of the interior of a house I'll have to draw A MILLION TIMES in Chronin) which took me three days but will hopefully save me a lot of work.

- Nearing the finish line of the GIANT-ASS AU FANFIC that I've been writing/NOTPOSTING since September (endless piles of thanks and adoration to [livejournal.com profile] kittyjimjams, [livejournal.com profile] clio_jlh, [livejournal.com profile] boredgods and [livejournal.com profile] gulliblesnail for keeping me sane on that front, holy shit)

- Delicious hot dogs.

- Recovering from the stomachache that resulted from that last item.

- Having the sound of thunder and pouring rain outside my window.

- [livejournal.com profile] bookshop articulating some of the very seriously misogynistic bullshit going on in Watchmen.

- Rewatching Hikaru no Go (<3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3)

- SARAH CONNOR CHRONICLES HAVING A SEASON SERIES SOME KIND OF FINALE THAT WAS SO AWESOME I STILL DON'T KNOW WHAT TO SAY.

-

FULL DISCLOSURE: That second one? Totally made me tear up. FOR SERIOUS. (Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] hoshizora and [livejournal.com profile] bzzinglikeneon for the links!)

[livejournal.com profile] soggytoast also linked me to this Girls Generation video which, while not in a public place in London, is still pretty damn adorable. ;3

DO YOU GUYS HAVE OTHER VIDEOS OF LARGE GROUPS OF PEOPLE DANCING IN PUBLIC? IF SO, I DESIRE THEM. I DESIRE THEM SO HARD.

- ETA: fuck it...TIME FOR SOME FERRIS BUELLER

Again: This has made me cry many a time. I am just like that, I guess. A person who cries at JOY and DANCING. lol me

LOL

I think you'd enjoy ImprovEverywhere; it's not exactly "large groups of people dancing in public places"(then again, they might actually have that now that I think about it...) but it's really close and just as awesome and hilarious to watch.

I'm hit or miss on some of their events but I generally enjoy the spirit of the improve everywhere peoples.

Yeah, I went through most of their videos a few months ago and there were only three or four that were kind of "meh." I think, overall, it's entertaining. :]

I hadn't seen most of these before! THANK YOU! *laughs* Though now I'm sad I missed the human statues in Grand Central Station! I should pay more attention to what's up around here ;3

This kind of thing just...is it sad that it ups my estimation of the GENERAL AWESOMENESS of humanity? Because it really does. <3

i just love that (aside from the t-mobile things being an ad) people get together to do stuff that is just. happy-making, and not anything else.
i love improv everywhere, and all the urban playground stuff they do, too.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ruEMaDZWRcs less choreographed, but possibly more satisfying for those involved... this would have been *awesome* in the middle of finals

i was momentarily concerned about the structural stability of their library, but i agree so much. a 10 minute rave break would be epic.

It doesn't fit the theme of people dancing in large places, but I love these guys for using guerrilla altruism as a means of protest: http://www.nbcnewyork.com/news/local/MTA-Calls-Out-Costumed-Subway-Stewardesses.html

p.s. I love flash mobs SO HARD. With tongue.)
